On Nov. 23, Honeywell Hometown Solutions’ Sichuan Rebuilt School Scholarship program was named one of the "2012 Most Influential Corporate Social Responsibility Programs" in China. This honor was presented to Honeywell by the China International Public Relations Association (CIPRA) and www.17PR.com, one of China's most popular public relations professional websites, at an awards ceremony in Beijing.
Honeywell launched the Sichuan Rebuilt School Scholarship at the Honeywell United Primary School in the Sichuan Province – after it was rebuilt by Honeywell in 2009 – to help teachers and students improve their skills and broaden their perspectives. The program provides outstanding teachers and students with the opportunity to visit Shanghai to experience school campus life, visit places of interest, such as the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum, visit Honeywell facilities in the region, and meet Honeywell engineers.
Honeywell was among the 20 winners out of 108 submissions. The winners were selected through online voting and an expert judging panel. This is the second time that Honeywell has received this honor. Last year, the company’s Safe Kids @ Home program received recognition.
