The Honeywell United School and Honeywell Baohe School, both rebuilt after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, recently welcomed nearly 100 volunteer teachers and students from the American School of Doha in Qatar. The visitors, originally from 20 different countries, came to participate in a two-day program designed to provide the Chinese students with a multicultural experience and broaden their perspective on the world.
During the program, the Chinese and international students participated in multicultural lectures and discussions and planted flowers and trees, among other activities. This program is a great example of Honeywell’s ability to attract international partners and continue its commitment to promote education.
In addition to the Doha School program, Honeywell has provided other volunteer services including the Sichuan Rebuilt School Scholarship program, which was named one of the "Most Influential Corporate Social Responsibility Programs" in China in 2012.
