LATINO magazine recently selected Honeywell to its Latino 100, a collection of one hundred companies providing the most opportunities for Latinos.
Honeywell is cultivating and inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers, including Latinos, through Honeywell Initiative for Science and Engineering. The program gives students direct access to Honeywell’s top technologists and engineers, as well as to some of the world’s Nobel Prize-winning Laureates in chemistry and physics. Honeywell also received the Solomon P. Ortiz Scholarship Endowment recognition award by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) for its support of the organization’s mission to develop the next generation of Latino leaders. Acknowledging the demand for young Latino professionals, Honeywell’s partnership with the CHCI has helped ensure career success and has put thousands of young people on a pathway to achieving their professional goals.
Nominations for the Latino 100 list were submitted both formally and informally by Latino nonprofits and community organizations as well as our readers, partners and stakeholders. The listing, which appears alphabetically, was compiled by the editors of LATINO from these nominations based upon their own research and information gathering. The companies profiled they are representative of their industries and serve as corporate role models.
