Elizabeth Bierman, senior project engineer for Honeywell Aerospace in Minneapolis, was recognized with the Women in Manufacturing STEP Award. The STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Awards honor women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers and represent all levels of the manufacturing industry, from the factory-floor to the C suite.
“Most of the things that make our lives safer, more enjoyable, and more productive are products of engineering and manufacturing,” Bierman explained. “I am proud of my achievements with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). The organization’s vision is to be the key to the success of women in engineering and technology. As I approach my term as President, I look forward to helping women achieve their own success. I appreciate all the support Honeywell has provided over the years with my career growth and leadership in SWE and to the Manufacturing Institute for the recognition.”
